At age 4 or 5 when the house across the street from me was being framed. Sitting on the couch, backwards, looking out the picture window, my Mom came into the living room and asked me what I was watching. I remember telling her I wanted to build houses for a living. She reassured me that I could do anything in life, but she wanted me to know I could also be the person who created the drawings from which the builders could build. Combining art with detail to create buildings – this is ideal.
I attended Syracuse University School of Architecture graduating with a BArch in 1999. David and I met during the week of freshman orientation. Since graduation I have been on and led project teams for many building types, including retail, schools, healthcare and labs. I have been licensed in MA since March 2006 and my passion for connecting personally with clients and working closely with Contractors brought me to work with David at Slocum Hall Design Group.
My diverse background includes buildings of varied scale and context and compliments my organization, detail focused and thorough process and project management. Being a highly organized and detail oriented professional, I manage process, coordinate consultants and oversee project documents to ensure smooth and successful projects. I also share my experience by mentoring students at Boston area Architecture schools.
