Our Newtonville clients wanted to enlarge their 1920’s home to accommodate their growing family. We doubled the kitchen square footage by adding to the existing footprint, allowing for an open floor plan, spacious seating, a coffee bar, and a large kitchen island that joins the new and old spaces together. Sitting on a steep slope, the kitchen is reminiscent of a treehouse, with oversized windows looking out to the top of the tree lines. Upstairs, a large bedroom was added along with a second-floor laundry room and new bathroom.
