Closet Escapes

April 25, 2023

Over the last few decades, the ultimate closet has become less of a frivolous idea and more of a necessity. Once very much an afterthought in the design process, the closet and the functionality of the space are now a top priority for many clients. Most of us own more than prior generations, and we want comfort and accessibility to those belongings. There are many ways to design a luxury closet space within modern luxury interiors; here are a few to consider.

His and Her Spaces

The ‘his and her’ closet is a shared space uniquely designed to accommodate each individual. The layout of this closet showcases what’s important for each client. For him, an area to show off his impressive hat collection and open shelves so everything is in plain sight. For her, the full-length mirrors, sitting nook, and custom floor-to-ceiling shoe racks provide the perfect space to get ready.

Closet Escapes – Luxury Dressing Room

The luxury closet is the ultimate escape; everything has a place and is completely customized for the homeowners. This space is reminiscent of an opulent high-end store with amazing lighting and full-length mirrors. A large island in the center is perfect for showing off handbags and jewelry or just laying out your daily wear. This space is so much more than a closet; it’s a full-on dressing room.

Closet Escapes – Walk-through Closet

Some spaces don’t allow you to have a separate area for your closet needs. The solution is a ‘walk-through’ closet, connecting the primary bedroom to the primary bathroom. Custom closet doors run along the hallway between the two rooms concealing all the clothing and providing ample storage. This design also allows space for getting ready, easily transitioning between all three areas.
