Great Partners = Great Results

Over the years, we have collaborated with some of the top professionals in the design and construction industry. While we have always appreciated these relationships, the past few months have given us some time to reflect on the importance of strong partnerships. Clear communication, trust, and having like-minded people to work with, can make all the difference when developing a team. If you develop a strong team, the work will reflect that.

Last month, we began a social media campaign to shine a spotlight on these wonderful companies, in a series of posts entitled “Trade Partner Highlights.” It is our way of saying “Thanks, and we couldn’t do it without you.” Here is a recap of who we highlighted:

Shoplick Associates Landscape Architecture

When we conceptualize a new home, or modify an existing one, the siting of the home or addition is a key factor in the design process. Landscape Architects, in general, add a tremendous amount of aesthetic value to a project; not only do they select the plantings that bring a finished home to life, but their role in developing the project from the initial conception is invaluable. The responsibility of figuring out the grading of the site, so that our designs can work harmoniously with their surroundings, is a key role a Landscape Architect plays in the process. Jane Shoplick has been our go-to Landscape Architect for several years, and we have collaborated on multiple successful projects. Jane is the quintessential team player – always willing to work through a design challenge on a complicated site, with a smile on her face and a positive attitude; we absolutely love working with Shoplick Associates! Jane is always at the top of our list when we need to collaborate with a Landscape Architect on a project.

Concept Building

We love working with Concept Building! We have completed many successful projects together, and are currently partnering with them on our Modern Prairie house in Weston. Between their exemplary service on-site and on the back-end, Jeff and Alan are great team-players and make the process fun, while also providing unrivaled quality and oversight. We feel very fortunate to have a close working relationship with Concept Building and consider Jeff and Alan to be part of our extended Slocum Hall family. We are looking forward to working with them on many successful future projects.
