Our Favorite Livable Outdoor Spaces 

It’s the perfect time of year to enjoy your outdoor space. Whether you’re entertaining a group for a BBQ or dinner party, lounging in the sunshine with a good book, or simply watching the kids play in the yard, all of these activities are better on a patio or deck! 

Below are just some of our favorite livable outdoor spaces we’ve worked on – perfect for soaking up the last months of summer.

Residence on Highland 

This Dutch Colonial on West Newton Hill was transformed by fusing modern design elements with the home’s original design. A beautiful deck with access from the yard and views of the property is the result of a dining room addition off the side of the main house. This terraced mahogany deck provides access to the property and helps unify the house with the landscape.

Weston Modern Prairie 

This Prairie-style home sits on a sloped lot, which allows the back of the home to flow seamlessly into the landscape that surrounds the property. The multi-level stone patio integrates the structure into the home’s outdoor living areas. On the lower portion of the patio, the dual-sided fireplace and the fully-retractable doors that surround the spa room, further emphasize the relationship of the interior and exterior spaces.

Modern Farmhouse on Beaver

This new-construction modern farmhouse boasts an impressive deck off the back with multiple access points and, on the far right, a full retractable set of doors. This sleek space is perfect for entertaining and late nights by the outdoor fireplace. The best part of this deck – no stairs! This outdoor space flows naturally into the side of the home, which sits on a higher elevation.
