Harwich Family Compound Newton, MA

We were brought in by the second-generation owners to modernize two dated lakefront homes that had been in their family for years, while preserving their connection to the property and creating spaces that better supported multi-generational living.

For the first home, we relocated the kitchen to the front of the house to improve the lake views from the Great Room and create a more open gathering space for family and friends. Dormers were added to expand the second-floor living area, and the space above the garage was finished as a dedicated hangout for the family’s teenagers.

For the second home, we reimagined the interior with a new kitchen, updated bathrooms, improved main-floor flow, and finishes throughout, transforming a 1990s spec house into a timeless Cape Cod retreat thoughtfully designed for the next generation.
