Residence on Crowninshield Brookline, MA

Renovation and Addition

This home, located in one of Brookline’s historical districts, was purchased by empty nesters who wanted to be closer to family. The home went through a complete gut renovation, along with an addition that included a mudroom and family room.

On the main floor, all the rooms were updated and the flow of circulation was improved. On the second floor, the spaces were fully reconfigured to create a large primary suite, and add a large laundry room.

The main staircase was reconfigured to extend to the newly-finished attic, where a new dormer was added to the rear of the home. Doing that, we were able to create additional living space on the 3rd floor allowing for a new guest suite/art studio.

We created access to the Basement from the new Mudroom, and finished the space to be a recreation area for visiting grandchildren.
