Residence on Franklin Square Dedham, MA

The owners of this 1818 Federal Revival, located in Dedham’s historical district, needed additional space for their growing family. A unique solution presented itself when the neighboring home became available. We combined the two homes with a sympathetically designed connector containing a breakfast room, a portion of the new kitchen, and an enlarged family room along with a second-floor bathroom for the kids and a cozy space in the eaves. The home’s main floor was converted to a contemporary kitchen, mudroom, and guest suite with a second-level master suite with cathedral ceilings.
